The Jamaica Plain New Economy Transition (JP NET), in partnership with the Boston Beer Company (BBC) and the Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation (JPNDC), is pleased to announce the opening of the Boylston Public Art Corridor with a call to Jamaica Plain artists for submissions of panel designs.
GENERAL SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
This contest is open to all, however, preference will be given to artists residing/working in Jamaica Plain and/or Roxbury within a one-mile radius from the project location. Panel submissions directly responding to the theme will also be given preference.
A total of four (4) panels will be hung in phase I of the Boylston Art Corridor project: one (1) panel will be produced by a group of youth artists, and three (3) panels will be produced by neighborhood artists.
Proposed panel designs are to be submitted electronically to the Boylston Public Art Corridor project manager. Contestants must email Kate Peppard (firstname.lastname@example.org) for a link to the Dropbox location for the panel design upload no later than midnight (11:59 PM) on June 30, 2014.
